Fireworks are really fun, but the best part comes later where something good to eat is preceeded with the “Thank You” for the blessing of being FREE.  So many have risked and given so much for that blessing we Americans share.  Let’s never forget!

Last night’s dinner was such fun to cook and to eat. Heavy beef ribs, slow smoked all day took up the entire plate.  10″ long & so full of flavor.  Now the dry rub made for some heavy tugging & chewing, but my goodness, it was a cowboys dream.   A very fine new son-in-law’s Dad had given me some North Carolina BBQ sauce to try.  It as my first time & I liked it, regardless of having growup on Texas style.
